    First Nations Voice to Parliament

An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament:

Statement from the Blue Mountains Food Co-op Board

Blue Mountains Food Co-op supportsĀ the Uluru Statement from the Heart and in 2017 accepted its generous invitationĀ to walk together with Indigenous Australians for a better future.

Therefore, the Blue Mountains Food Co-op Board support recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our constitution and the establishment of a constitutionally enshrined Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

This means that the Blue Mountains Food Co-op Board supports a YES vote in the upcoming referendum.

Blue Mountains Food Co-op Members may have many different points of view so the Board encourages our community to engage thoughtfully and respectfully with each other on this issue.
