Soak it up

Treat yourself or someone special to some “me time” with these lovely fragrant bath truffles.

Ingredients

Serves: 7-10 baths

1/2 cup Baking Soda
1/4 cup Citric Acid
1/4 cup Cornstarch, or Arrowroot powder for Gluten free option
1/6 cup Cocoa Butter
1/6 cup Cold pressed Coconut oil

Essential oils and herbs of choice

Heather’s favorite combinations of fragrant essential oils

Patchouli & Rose Geranium, with Rose Petals
Lemongrass & Bergamot with Chamomile Flowers
Lavender & Rose Geranium, with Lavender Buds
Grapefruit & Orange with Calendula Petals

Method

Melt cocoa butter, coconut oil combo on a double boiler. Sieve dry ingredients well, then add melted oils. Add essential oils of choice. Keep in mind the chocolate and coconut smell will be strong, so sometimes they will over power your essential oil blends.

Push into small moulds (chocolate moulds, ice cube trays or you can roll them into balls and roll them into petals or oats etc) leave to dry for a day. Even though they are small I recommend only using 1 per bath, great for feet and hand soaks as well for people who don’t have access to a bath tub.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a bath recipe. Do a skin test before submerging in the bath. These truffles are not for eating but strictly for bathing!
