A fireside farmers chat

In August 2023, three local farmers (pictured above, left to right) Nic Moodie of Southleigh Farm in Hartley, Rhiannon Phillips of Mountains Gourmet in the mid Mountains, and Aaron Brocken of Harvest Farms in Bilpin – got together to discuss the challenges of small scale agriculture and how they are working towards regenerative land management and localised food security despite climate change induced weather events and cost of living pressures.

If you missed the event, which was a joint collaboration between Blue Mountains Food Co-op and Lyttleton Stores, you can watch (apologies for the low quality video) and listen to their chat, hosted by Sonya Byron of Sonya Byron Plant Medicine, here.

Don’t forget to shop at your local Co-op for local, seasonal produce to support these and other growers. And stay tuned for our next Meet Your Local Farmer event.
