Good for You, Good for the Planet
We’re passionate about offering groceries that nourish both people and planet. From fresh, certified-organic and biodynamic produce to eco-friendly household essentials, everything we stock is chosen with care.

Fresh Produce
Our certified-organic fruit and vegetables are delivered fresh from the markets three times a week, ensuring quality and seasonal variety. We’re proud to support local Blue Mountains growers and also stock chemical-free produce from passionate backyard growers in our community

Pastured Free-Range Eggs
Our eggs come from happy, healthy, pasture-raised hens free to roam, forage, and scratch in the sunshine. Sourced from small local farms focused on animal welfare, regenerative farming, and nutrient-rich, delicious eggs. Pack your own or grab a pre-packed carton off the shelf.

Bulk Goods
Bring your own jars and scoop up as much or as little as you need — organic tea, baking staples, dried fruit and nuts, chocolate, peanut butter, hair care, cleaning products, and more. It’s a simple, low-waste way to shop. Our affordable, organic bulk range helps you tread more lightly on the planet.

Bread
Each week, we welcome a fresh delivery of organic bread, baked with ancient grains and traditional methods. We also stock two delicious, locally made gluten-free breads, proudly supporting small businesses. Whether you’re after a hearty, grain-filled loaf or a gluten-free option, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.

Vegan & Vegetarian
We offer a wide range of vegan and vegetarian options to suit every taste — from plant-based cheeses and meat alternatives to indulgent chocolates, snacks, and wholesome treats. Whether you’re fully plant-based or just exploring, you’ll find delicious, nourishing options throughout the store.

Ethical Meat & Dairy
We stock ethically sourced meat raised without added hormones or antibiotics, ensuring quality you can trust. Our dairy range comes from artisan producers offering free-range, biodynamic, and organic options. By choosing these products, you’re supporting farmers who care deeply for their animals, the land, and the food they produce.

Household Cleaning
Come and explore our range of no-nasties cleaning products, made with simple, effective ingredients you can feel good about. We offer a variety of options — both pre-packaged for convenience and bulk refills you can fill yourself to reduce waste. Cleaner for your home, gentler on the planet.

Skin, Hair & Personal Care
We stock a wide range of organic skin, hair, and personal care products that are kind to both you and the planet. From locally made, luxurious face and hand creams to everyday essentials like toothpaste and deodorant — we’ve got you covered, naturally.

Local, Artisanal Giftware
Our shelves showcase a thoughtfully curated collection of handcrafted treasures from talented artisans in the Blue Mountains and beyond. From small-batch candles and luxury soaps to hand-thrown ceramics, beeswax wraps, and distinctive homewares, each piece carries a story and supports a local maker’s craft.
Our Purchasing Principles
At the Blue Mountains Food Co-op, we’re committed to stocking products that are good for people, planet, and community. All our fruit and vegetables are proudly grown in Australia, and are either certified organic or completely chemical-free. We are GMO-free — none of our products contain or are made from genetically modified organisms. While some ingredients are best grown in other regions, we always prioritise sourcing from local producers whenever we can – because supporting our community matters.
We prioritise goods that are:
- Locally made or grown
- Australian produced
- Fair Trade
- Certified organic or chemical-free
- Eco-friendly and sustainably packaged
- High quality and good value
Bulk Buying & Customised Amounts
Wherever possible, we buy in bulk. Our bulk section ensures you can tailor the amount of food you want to buy. We also provide freshly cut veggies and fruit for the bigger produce, such as pumpkins, cabbages and watermelons so you don’t unnecessarily purchase more than you want. This model reduces packaging waste and helps us pass on the best possible prices to our members and shoppers.
Packaging, Refills & Zero-Waste
We’re passionate about reducing waste and helping our community shop more sustainably.
We choose products with minimal, recyclable, compostable or reusable packaging wherever possible. Many of our suppliers share our values and use paper, glass, tin or compostable materials instead of plastic.
Bring your own containers and refill everything from laundry liquid and dishwashing powder to olive oil, shampoo, nut butters, honey, and more. Our bulk section makes it easy to top up on pantry staples, household goods, and personal care products – without the excess packaging.
Forgot your container? No worries! We have clean, donated jars available in-store, or you can purchase reusable ones to get you started on your low-waste journey.
Our Zero-Waste Commitment
We compost our green waste, recycle responsibly, and work closely with local producers and suppliers to reduce transport and packaging impacts. Our team is always on the lookout for innovative, sustainable solutions to make low-impact shopping more accessible for everyone.
Together, we can lighten our footprint and support a circular economy – one jar at a time.
Your Feedback
We also believe in co-creating our range with you, our members. Your feedback helps shape what’s on our shelves, just as it has for decades. Got a product suggestion or question?
