UPCOMING SLOW FOOD EVENTS
9th May, 2017

Slow Food Blue Mountains has some exciting events coming up over the next couple of months, including an interactive art installation for Winter Magic.

First up is the Slow Food Pianola Soiree, being held on Saturday 13 May, from 6.30pm. This fun evening of old time ‘parlour entertainment’ in the 100-year-old Cloudlands house in Katoomba will raise money to support Slow Food Blue Mountains’ 2017 Small Producer Grants. Cost: $25 per person. Bring a potluck plate and come dressed in your op-shop or repurposed retro finery. Complimentary regional tipples and nibbles provided. Bookings essential: 0423 109 270 or email.

For Winter Magic, Slow Food Blue Mountains are creating an interactive installation at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre titled BACKYARD. In keeping with the Festival’s Gaia theme this year, key elements will be a raw honey tasting bar, some beehives and native bee hotel displays, a beautiful winter foliage arrangement, kitchen gardens in a box, a small chook house, roving peas in a pod and carrot characters, art activities for children, and street theatre. Taking centre stage will be a long table for a shared lunch of home grown/made food. If you’d like to get involved in creating or contributing ideas to BACKYARD please contact Anne at Slow Food Blue Mountains on 0423 109 270 or email.
