  • Homemade Apple Sauce by Ann Niddrie

    Home made apple sauce is a delicious condiment and snack that is easy to make. About 8 large apples should be sufficient, however I simply cut as many as fill up my largest saucepan which holds about 4 litres. Makes approximately 2 litres of apple sauce - some for enjoying now, and some for freezing for later!

  • Toasted Muesli

    Toasted muesli is a great hearty breakfast and a pretty yummy snack. Great with fresh, dried or stewed fruit, yogurt and /or tahini.
    Vary the sweetness by using rice malt for less sweet to maple syrup for the ultimate indulgence!
    Use almonds or any combination of your favourite nuts.
    Use your oil of choice.

    This is a great soup to eat on the onset of any cold or flu feeling... Despite the huge ingredient list, it is easy to pull together when you feel terrible...
    There must be a million chicken soup recipes out there, but with this one is cooked up using Co-op ingredients with seasonal variations, for all of it , but the chicken. There are also options for budget cooking and a quick cook option. This chicken soup is inspired by Holly Davis's 'chicken soup to cure all ills' from Nourish and also recipe by Donna, a regular Co-op shopper.

  • Kay’s Tomato Poached Eggs on Savory Polenta (gluten free)

    Delicious, tasty and hearty breakfast. For one serve just scale down the poached egg quantities and save the left over polenta for tomorrow. Yum!!
