SEEDLINGS AT THE CO-OP MAY
9th May, 2017

Our lovely local growers will be back in May with lots of ready-to-plant chemical-free seedlings for you to buy. Drop by for a chat, find out what they’re planting, and get some local chemical-free plants for your winter veggie garden.

Trina Lord – is taking a break now over winter, look out for her in spring.

Trina is always ready to talk plants and share her love of food growing with people when she’s at the Co-op. She sells a range of herbs and vegetable seedlings and a fine collection of succulents – all grown at her Bilpin property.

Robin Johnson – Saturday 13 May 9.00am – 12.00pm

Robin is at the Co-op every second Saturday of the month with his Blackheath-grown seedlings, and is always happy to share his advice about food growing in the mountains. This month he will have a wide range of new season’s seedlings for autumn and winter, including: beetroot, turnip, broad beans, brassicas, broccoli sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, spinach, silverbeet, Brussels sprouts, kale (three varieties), pak choi, and wide selection of lettuce.

All Robin’s seedlings are mature and garden ready. He advises that autumn veggie seedlings “need to be planted now while we are having this spell of fine weather”.

You can also buy seedlings direct from Robin – email or call 0424 023 652 to arrange.
